1.) Marshall's Creek Rest

313 Baskins Creek Rd., Gatlinburg


Rustic renovated rooms with a cabin feel, on the creek. Charming locally owned hotel, but excellent reviews, and walking distance to downtown a couple minutes from the entrance of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Outdoor pool, firepit, rockers, park right in front of your room and has rave reviews. (Yes, that's a bear.)

2.) Sleepy Bear

820 East Parkway, Gatlinburg


Family-owned motel on Dudley Creek with an outdoor swimming pool.

Some rooms have balconies with water views. Ask about the complimentary breakfast on weekends. This adorable spot has large TVs in rooms, about a 30 minute walk to downtown, or a 1 mile drive or trolley ride.







3.) Historic Gatlinburg Inn

755 Parkway, Gatlinburg


The Historic Gatlinburg Inn, the place where "Rocky Top" was written, is a part of history of Gatlinburg, and Tennessee. They know how to treat guests, since they have had many famous arrivals since 1939. When you stay with them, you are treated to an interesting walk down Gatlinburg's memory lane.


Exactly in the middle of downtown Gatlinburg, this vintage - but updated - hotel is surrounded by downtown bustle. Balcony rooms, views of everything, outdoor pool.

4.) The Gillette

Family-owned hotel, renovated recently, with balconies and an outdoor pool. Excellent downtown location, easy walk to downtown. Larger, luxury and double suites and accessible rooms available, with 42 in wide elevator and ramp.

5.) Greystone Lodge on the River

559 Parkway, Gatlinburg


This gem has alot of bang for the buck. It is on the water, has a pool with slide, firepit fitness room and nice outdoor areas. One of the most beloved hotels in the area for many years. Free continental breakfast. They also have meeting and wedding facilities!


Excellent, center of downtown Gatlinburg location. Accessible rooms available, as well as balconies. Across the road from Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies.

6.) Jack Huff's

204 Cherokee Orchard Rd., Gatlinburg


Lodge with a history, renovated rooms, outdoor swimming pool with slide and indoor hot tubs, balconies, elevator. Less than a block from the downtown Gatlinburg strip.


Accessible rooms, large rooms and adjoining rooms also available.

7.) Comfort Suites, Downtown Convention Center

321 Reagan Drive, Gatlinburg


This one is right next to the Gatlinburg Convention Center, and easily walkable to just about everywhere downtown. The free daily breakfast buffet can really save you money. Indoor pool and fitness room.


Great accessibility, pool hoist, meeting facilities and business center. 10-minute walk to downtown.

Pigeon Forge & Sevierville

8.) Twin Mountain Inn

3929 S. River Rd., Pigeon Forge


This Pet Friendly hotel has balconies over river, outdoor swimming pool, meeting space, firepit outside by river. This charming hotel has an elevator and a free continental breakfast and is only a 5-minute walk to the Pigeon Forge Parkway.


Some rooms have a fireplace. Great place to stay for Rod Runs!

9.) Mountain Breeze Motel

2926 Parkway, Pigeon Forge


Family owned with free continental breakfast, outdoor swimming pool with separate hot tub and right on the Parkway. Check my Rod Run schedule, because this hotel will be booked months ahead for those car show dates.


But it is a super deal with very good reviews, and easy to book.

10.) Berry Springs Lodge

2149 Seaton Springs Rd., Sevierville


I would consider this a true hidden gem. Built in 2000, it's an small, 11-room, adult oriented hotel, tucked back into the hills, but a very easy drive to the Pigeon Forge Parkway, Gatlinburg and 10 minutes to Dollywood.


A free full breakfast is included, saving you money on your stay. Variety of cozy rooms with fireplaces and a couple's spa room onsite. Private jetted tubs, fitness center, fishing, firepit, hiking and biking trails, and more. Small Resort fee applies per stay.

11.) The Inn on the River

2492 Parkway, Pigeon Forge


Indoor and Outdoor swimming pools with spa tub, rooms with balconies and patios with views of the river. Free breakfast buffet. Cozy firepit. Right on the North end of the Pigeon Forge Parkway, with easy access to all attractions and very close to The Titanic Museum, The Island and Wears Valley Road.

Free breakfast buffet, indoor and outdoor pools, balconies, business center and meeting room, elevator. Nice location near Apple Barn, and right on the Parkway. Excellent reviews.

Outdoor pool with lazy river, indoor pool with spa tub, fitness center and full free breakfast included. Elevator, business center and meeting spaces. Location is conveniently on the Parkway in Sevierville, very close to Soaky Mountain Waterpark.
